The Land of Passive Aggressive

Truth is, I know that being passive-aggressive just makes things worse in the long-run, but sometimes in the short-run it can be so satisfying.

On my most lazy days when I’m too exhausted to drag up even one speck of assertiveness or empathy, I confess to resorting to passive-aggressiveness to get some attention. I’m sure you’ve seen the routine – sigh too loudly, bring all the grocery bags in yourself making as much noise as possible and mutter under your breath about the almost-empty milk bottle left in the fridge.

Just for a few seconds, I get huge satisfaction from this completely useless behaviour. Until I remember that I just used precious energy doing something that either a) no-one noticed or b) makes them want to run a mile away

Seems so much smarter to just ask for help
